COMPUTER PROGRAM...Crane Analysis and Design...

The use of cranes in the manufacturing sector is a vital part of material handling process. This effort is constantly evolving and adjusting to the ever changing needs of the market. My job was to design new systems as well as carefully evaluating existing for the changes in processes. Such needs as greater capacities, expansion of existing systems, additional material handling and the most challenging of all; retrofits of not only carrying buildings but also new structures supporting new needs but carried by already badly overstressed buildings! The John Deere Plant was an example of this need. Ergonomically designed tire installer had to be accommodated within a process as shown herein… I employed the use of computer programs developed specifically to handle the specialty and to produce quick answers to what if’s. The programs were designed using Visual Basic and C++ programs which took nearly six months but gave us the edge to compete and earn a good portion of the market.
